Exporting Icons
Iconomizer allows you to export your icons in various formats for use in your projects.
How to Export Icons
There are two ways to export icons:
1. Export Selected Icons
- Use Select mode to select the icons you want to export
- Choose Selected Icons in the Icon Set List
- Click the Export button at the bottom of the Icons View
2. Export an Entire Icon Set
- Right-click the icon set in the Icon Set List
- Select Export from the menu
Export Formats
Iconomizer supports multiple export formats to match your project's needs:
SVG Sprite
An SVG Sprite is a single SVG file containing multiple icons. You can reference icons from HTML using the following markup:
<svg class="icon">
<use href="icons.svg#{{icon-name}}"></use>
</svg>
Replace {{icon-name}} with the lowercase name of the icon.
Web Font
Web Fonts are similar to SVG Sprites, containing all your icons in a single font file (.ttf, .woff, and .woff2). Web fonts only support single-color (monochrome) icon sets and are useful because of their smaller file size.
To use in HTML, give the element containing the icon the appropriate class name:
<div class="icon-{{icon-name}}"></div>
Replace {{icon-name}} with the lowercase name of the icon.
PNG, PDF, and SVG Folders
Export your icons to a folder of individual PNG, PDF, or SVG files.
SVG Markup and Base64 Representation
You can also export individual icons by right-clicking on them in the Icons View. The menu contains options to copy to the clipboard:
- Icon image - Paste onto the desktop or into image-supporting applications
- SVG markup - Paste into a text editor
- Base64 representation - Paste into a text editor
